Pan Fried Twist RollPan Fried Twist Roll

 

I got some left over dough when I made the stuffed bun last time. I did not want to make more fillings, so I just made some twist roll.

 

Ingredients:

Dough: yeast, sugar, flour (If you already have yeast dough like me, you can skip this.)

Filling: green onion, seasoning.

 

Method:

1. Mix yeast and same amount sugar, then add warm water, set aside for several minutes.

2. Add flour and more warm water if needed, to make smooth soft dough, set aside until double the size.

3. Chop green onion, mix with a little bit salt, set aside for several minutes.

Pan Fried Twist Roll4. Pouch dough down, roll into a big piece wrapper.

5. Sprinkle salt and black pepper on top of wrapper, roll it in dough.

6. Pour some oil on dough, brush through, then sprinkle green onion on top.

Pan Fried Twist Roll7. Roll wrapper from both sides, stop at the middle, cut into several pieces.

8. Rotate one piece up, use chopsticks (or something similar) hold the middle of it, push into middle, then take chopsticks out.

Pan Fried Twist Roll9. Shape the roll a little bit, then set aside for several minutes.

10. Heatup the saute pan, add a little tiny bit oil, saute rolls until golden brown on bottom.

11. Pour half a cup water into saute pan, cover with lid, bring to boiling on high heat, then adjust heat to medium low.

12. Cook until water dry out, remove from heat, remove lid after 5 minutes.

13. Serve when it's warm.
