I wanted to bake dinner roll to this shape for a while. Finally, I decided to give it a try. But now, I think I won't bake this a lot, because the bottom part tasted like got overbaked, and I don't like it that way.
Ingredients: dough: 3.5 cups bread flour, 3/4 cup warm milk, 2 tablespoon honey, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 teaspoon dry yeast, 2 tablespoon corn oil, 5 tablespoon butter (room temperature), 1/4 teaspoon salt Topping: 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 tablespoon melted butter
Method: 1. Mix dry yeast with 2 teaspoon sugar, then add milk, set aside for about 10 minutes. 2. Add all the liquid ingredients into yeast mixture, mix. 3. Mix flour, salt, rest of sugar, then add to liquid mixture, form a dough. 4. Add butter to dough, form a smooth dough, set aside until dough double on size. 5. Knead dough down, divide dough into 24 equal pieces. 6. Spray medium-size muffin pan. 7. Divide each piece into 3 pieces, roll into ball-shape, put all three of them in one pan. 8. Repeat until all the dough's done. 9. Set rolls aside for at least 30 minutes, until double on size. 10. Preheat oven to 350 degree. 11. Mix egg and honey, brush on top of rolls. Add a teaspoon water into the egg mixture, if mixture's too thick. 12. Bake rolls for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top. 13. Take rolls out of oven, brush butter on top when hot. 14. Put rolls on wired rack, set to cool.
