Cheesy Dinner RollCheesy Dinner Roll

 

I haven't baked bread for a while. But I really missed the taste and smell from the homebaked bread. So I decided to start baking bread myself again.

 

Ingredients:

1 cup warm milk

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons sugar

1/4 cup shortening

2 eggs

3-3 1/4 cups bread flour

1 pack dry yeast

2 cups (4 ounces) sharp, shredded Cheddar cheese

 

Method:

1. Mix yeast and sugar, then add warm milk, set aside for 10 minutes.

2. Set a little bit egg aside, then mix all the ingredients expect cheese together.

3. Set mixer speed to low at beginning, when everything's combined, adjust speed to medium, knead for several minutes.

4. Form dough into a loose ball and place in a greased bowl, turning quickly to grease all surfaces. Set dough aside until dough rise to double.

5. Push dough down gently and turn out onto generously floured surface.

6. Place 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese on the dough and knead in.

7. Seperate dough into 16 even pieces, then shape them into ball.

8. Spray two 8 or 9 inch round pans, place dough ball in pan.

9. Cover loosely and allow roll to rise again until almost double.

Cheesy Dinner Roll10. Preheat oven to 375 degree.

11. Brush the roll with beaten egg which you saved in step 2.

12. Sprinkle the rest cheese on top of roll.

13. Bake for 15-18 minutes.

14. Run knife carefully around the edge of the pan to loosen rolls, especially where cheese is sticking to the pan. Flip out and let rest on cooling rack.
